Even though we have had to close our studio during the lockdown, 10radio, your local community radio station, has continued to broadcast, 24 hours a day throughout the Covid pandemic. This has been achieved through the creativity of a number of our presenters who have been busy producing programmes at home.
This means that each weekday we are able to broadcast our Community Update programme at 9am (repeated at 1pm) which has been bringing all the latest information about the help, support and services as well as interviews with local shop owners and food providers in the local area. There are also short exercise and stretch sessions called 10today each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am to keep those confined at home agile. For those who enjoy a good sing, there is a Community Sing-a-along programme led by Fodo Higginson every Tuesday at 11am and repeated on Thursdays at 3pm. And the Home Service, established just before the lockdown, designed to bring Christian worship and inspiration to people’s front rooms where going to church has been impossible, has had a tremendous response, not only in terms of the wide range of people tuning in from across the area each week, but also with the involvement of a variety of church leaders and lay worship assistants around the 10 parishes and beyond. This is broadcast on Sunday mornings at 10am and repeated Wednesdays at 11am but, like many of our regular programmes, is available through our ‘Listen Again‘ facility.
And don’t miss the perfect way to start your day with The Barry and Dr.Colin Show ‘Lite’ – each weekday 8 to 9am who provide a musical think-link challenge each day and are happy to play request and dedications they receive.
We are unable to man our telephone at the moment, but for any of the shows or if you have information you want to share with people in our local area, please contact 10Radio by email at email@example.com or text the word STUDIO followed by your message to 07786 202240.
