Safe families for children

Can you imagine what it feels like to be all alone, with no one to turn to?

Can you imagine feeling like a failure as a parent – just because you are exhausted and at the end of your tether?

There are many, many parents in our community in Somerset who feel like this – they are isolated and desperate for someone who understands. Could you be that someone?

Safe Families is a national Christian charity, that enables and empowers people to reach out into their community, making a difference in the lives of others in as little as an hour a week.

Safe Families equip and empower volunteers to come alongside families and children to befriend them, support them and encourage them. They provides a safe structure and backup for those volunteers, linking them with families in the community.

You could be married, single, old, young, working, a student or retired, with or without children – you can be as flexible as you like.

We welcome anyone who is willing to come alongside and support an isolated family who are going through a difficult time.

You never know – you might make a friend!
