We are sure you will have realised that Father Christmas’ usual tour of the villages cannot happen, but we have it on good authority, that on Christmas Eve, he usually stops off on some high points as he builds up his strength for his busy night ahead.
We believe he usually stops off at The Wellington Monument, but there is uncertainty about whether the scaffolding will be down by then. So, he is hoping to stop off on Milverton Church tower briefly on his journey.
He hopes that his visit will coincide with the national jingle bell ring at 6pm on Christmas Eve (as seen on Facebook), so bring along your bells, ring them at 6pm, maybe sing Jingle Bells and if he is running on time, Father Christmas will wave hello and wish you all a merry Christmas. There is plenty of space for social distancing and bring a torch to light him up and wish him well.
