Milverton and Fitzhead Society December update

The talk by Trevor Phelps on ‘Conservation in Milverton’ on the 12 of November, gave us a fascinating glimpse of all the work the Milverton Conservation Team is carrying out under our noses, from conserving parasitic plants, to managing Sites of Special Scientific Interest, to engaging children in the construction of their own nest boxes and bug hotels!

In the final week of COP26 it was great to see what is being done locally to promote biodiversity!

Dr Richard RawlinsTalks continue on 2 December with a talk to be given by Dr Richard Rawlins, who was booked to speak before lockdown, so we are eagerly looking forward to hearing his nautically flavoured talk ‘Tall Tales from a Short Ship’s Surgeon’ at  7.30 pm in the Methodist Chapel.

Look forward to seeing you there.
