Milverton AmDram July update

We were thrilled to be part of the Milverton Big Jubilee Weekend which I think we can all agree was a wonderful commemoration that will stay with us for a long time to come. We would like to thank Gary, Julian and everyone at The Milverton Trust and the organising committee for making it such a memorable event. Check out our website as well as the Milverton Community site and Alive in Milverton for more photos of the weekend. If anyone has any more photos of our show, we would be delighted if you could send us copies via our email

Moving on to the rest of 2022, we have a few more productions for you.

For those of you who missed Murder at the Allotment (and for those of you who would love to catch it a second time!), plans are afoot to produce it as a radio play in collaboration with our friends at 10 Radio. We will let you know as soon as it is ready for transmission.

We have had some requests from our members and supporters to start up playreading sessions again, so watch out for these.

But the production you’ve all been waiting for is the pantomime – oh yes it is! This year we will be presenting Rapunzel – a Hair-Raising Panto. It promises to be a lot of fun, and in honour of the Queen’s Coronation Year it will have a distinctly Rock ‘n’ Roll 1950s theme. We’ve already had a great deal of interest but there’s always room for more, so if you’d like to come along and join us rehearsals start on Thursday 8 September at 7:30pm in the Reading Room at the Victoria Rooms. The show will be on Thursday 24, Friday 25 and Saturday 26 November (Saturday includes a matinee). Please put these dates in your diary. Our last show sold out, so we don’t want anyone to be disappointed.

Following the success of Deck the Halls,we also plan to entertain you at St Michael’s in December. More info to follow soon.

2023 is already starting to take shape, but we hope this is enough to whet your appetite for the moment. If you want to be kept up-to-date with what we’re doing then you can do the following:

Enjoy your summer and we look forward to seeing you soon.
