The Milverton Trust operates for the benefit of the village of Milverton and surrounding area; raising funds in support of community projects in and around the village, including development of this website.
The Milverton Trust runs the annual Street Fair of Milverton which takes place on the first May Bank holiday and organises other fund-raising events. Last year it supported the Queen’s 70th Platinum Jubilee celebrations and is currently holding funds for a suitable memorial being chosen to mark both this event and her Majesty’s passing.
Again the tree opposite the Milverton Stores was turned on — thanks to Sheila Williamson — and you may also have noticed the lights adorning the front of the Victoria Rooms, to bring some cheer during the gloomy weather!
Keen to support, The Milverton Trust has just granted £1500 towards the refurbishment of the Recreation Ground public toilets and is currently publishing the booklet Peter Hutchinson has compiled on the history of St. Michael’s Church pew ends, which has been brilliantly researched and written by Peter and includes the wonderful photographs of David Leyland.
