We’ll start with a big thank you to those who supported Rapunzel, a Hair-Raising Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto. We had so many lovely comments from people who enjoyed watching and it was wonderful to perform to enthusiastic audiences. It was especially great to see our youngsters on the stage. We’re sure that they’ve been bitten by the Am Dram bug, so watch out for this talented bunch in future productions!
Our next thank you goes to those who came along to the Poetry and Pints evening at The Globe. What started as a germ of an idea came to fruition on the last day of January with around two dozen enthusiasts coming together to share some poems. We had original pieces, old favourites and modern classics, performed with aplomb and well received by all. Watch this space for another one later this year!
Rehearsals for our next production A Bunch of Amateurs are proceeding well. This story of a Hollywood star coming to a rural amateur drama group to perform King Lear will have you in stitches! The performances will be on 11, 12 and 13 May at The Victoria Rooms. Tickets will go on sale during March, so watch out for our posters around the village.
We also plan to be at the street fair as well as the village fair later in the year, so do look out for us there.
We’ve had a lot of new people join us because we’re such a fun and friendly bunch. Where else will you get the opportunity to cavort on stage in daft costumes for £10 a year? Come along and find out for yourselves! Join our mailing list, so you never miss out.
