Milverton Music Club July update

Our last club night before the summer break is on Friday 7 July when the theme is songs by Gordon Lighfoot. This prolific Canadian singer and song writer passed away in early May aged 84. His songs include ‘Early Morning Rain;, ‘Sundown’, If You Could Read My Mind’, Rainy Day People’ and were recorded by many artists including Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley and Peter, Paul and Mary.

Memorable evening

There are evenings that are good and evenings that are memorable. 2 June was a tad hot, but the music was wonderful. A packed house of 80+ enjoyed a smashing evening of great singing and playing. Good to see The West Street band for the first time alsoTim and Katie Cooke. Plus a welcome return for the medical miracle that is Alan Pettifer. Thanks to all who played and sang.

Go to Milverton Music for pictures of the artists.

We look forward to seeing you on 7 July, doors open at 7.30pm, there is always a queue. Music starts at 8pm. Remember to bring drinks and nibbles.

Have a good summer.
