Busy Bees at Easter

On Good Friday morning the Busy Bees met at the church to make the Easter gardens. They listened to the Easter story and then built the garden outside the church out of compost, moss, stones and plants they had collected. They also decorated the inside garden with jars of fresh flowers that they arranged themselves.

Having learnt the significance of the cross and of a hollow egg symbolising the empty tomb, the Bees found small crosses in eggs hidden around the church, made decorative crosses, and planted cress in egg shells.

We hope visitors to the church and churchyard will enjoy seeing what they have created.
