Milverton Concert Society June update

Where are they now?

We have been fortunate enough to witness some truly wonderful concerts over the past 30 years here in Milverton and many of the musicians who have visited are continuing with their burgeoning careers performing all over the world in prestigious concert halls.

Jess Gillam, Ariel Lanyi and Jeneba Kanneh-Mason are all taking solo spots with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra this coming season at Symphony Hall.

Isata Kanneh-Mason is performing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in the Cadogan Hall in London, and Voces8 are making an appearance in the BBC Proms in August in a concert with the Carducci Quartet.

After a few months of uncertainty, Red Priest are back on the road, returning to their former line up with violinist and founder member Julia back in the fold and their venerable powerhouse of a cellist, Angela, postponing her retirement as the group returns to its roots. Meanwhile the Doric Quartet, Sitkovetsky Trio and Martin James Bartlett are all performing at the Wigmore Hall in London.

Our next season begins on Saturday 30 September 2023. Details will be available very soon. Please sign up to our newsletter on Milverton Concert Society.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you in September.
