Milverton street fair

The Milverton Street Fair is an annual community event that usually falls on the first Bank Holiday in May.

The Fair is devised, promoted and organised by the Milverton Trust, a registered charity run by an elected body of Trustees and volunteer members drawn from the local community. It is, however, all made possible through the assiduous dedication and invaluable assistance of the volunteers.

It is the local organisations, societies and charities who profit each year from the all this hard work. Stallholders who assist in the running of the Street Fair receive a discount on their pitch costs. Helpers who lend their assistance, time or skills can nominate to whom donations are made, drawn from the funds that the fair continues to generate and the Trust — after due deliberation — distributes. If you would like to take part, then please get in touch.

Much hard work goes into organising and running this wonderful event, year after year: some methods tried and tested; some new and innovative. Balance is always the aim: to attract and entertain; yet to generate and gain. A formula that the Milverton Trust always strives towards: an ethos that countless members and elders of the village have handed down over many years of unstinting hard work, that has kept the annual Milverton Street Fair an important and unmissable event on the calendar.

Street Fair road closures

Each year to enable stall holders to set up and visitors to access and enjoy Milverton’s Street Fair, road closures and diversions are in place from early in the morning until 6pm on the day of the Street Fair. There are more details on the Street Fair vehicle access webpage.
